The Doors are closing but there's still hope

It’s happening—the doors to China are once again closing. Churches are facing new laws. Christians are facing new restrictions. But here’s the good news: there’s still a way for you to share the gospel in China!

For five years the doors were wide open and hundreds of thousands of Bibles were provided to the churches, thanks to generous donors. We were even allowed to personally visit China and hand out Bibles to people hungry for God's Word!

We're sad to report that we can’t do that anymore. Everything has changed, except for one thing. You have a unique opportunity to share the hope of the gospel with millions in China who are still lost—even though the doors are closing!

Bibles are still being printed in China, but the number allowed to be printed still has a cap that’s far lower than the Bibles needed. But now there’s a new restriction on Bibles: the government has banned the sale of all Bibles on online bookstores. Pastors have indicated an intensification of sanctions against churches, including the demolishing of crosses, burning Bibles, and raiding Christian homes to remove religious symbols.

Persecution is not new to them, and they are incredibly unwavering in their faith. But the churches also need your support in the form of God’s Word. They need Bibles so their congregations can become strong in their faith. And they need Scriptures to share in their communities with the millions of people who don’t know Christ. The need is massive, but the good news is there’s an exciting way for you to support the pastors who desperately need help.

What’s truly exciting is that last year, not knowing the doors would begin closing soon, we translated our Hope Scripture magazine into Chinese and received approval from the government to begin printing it. Which we did, thanks to you! Praise God, last year you helped us print and share 100,000 copies of that Chinese Hope magazine!

The Hope magazine is an important resource to provide the church, and not just because it’s so different from anything else the church has. What’s so great is we have no limitations on how many of these magazines we can print! Today that non-restriction is more important than ever because of the new legal restrictions I’ve already mentioned. What an opportunity for us to equip churches in China—especially now in the midst of the persecution they’re facing—with a Scripture resource that points people to Jesus.

Join us in this answer to prayer and partner with us in reaching the multitudes in China with the gospel.

Every $30 you donate means 6 people living in hopeless darkness will finally see a glimmer of the light of Jesus—probably for the very first time. Thank you for your generosity.

The Need

Less than 3% are Christians, so to most, our God is just one of 330 million other gods. This beautiful country needs to be introduced to Jesus, the One and Only God.
