Indigenous Peoples

People near you are looking for a reason to live every day.

They’re clinging to whatever they can find—something real to give them hope—but they’re coming up empty. They’re allowing drugs, alcohol, sex, and even suicide to numb their pain—to try to heal the deep suffering in their souls that just won’t go away.

But you can introduce them to the only One who can rescue them. The Bible says:

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
- Psalm 34:18

You know that rescue. Through Christ, the Lord frees us from the burden of trying to solve the problem ourselves. The hope that comes as a result of His love and sacrifice is what changes everything. That’s the hope our Indigenous communities need to experience—but what so many have never heard about.

How many Indigenous people do you want to introduce to Jesus today? How many northern kids struggling to find a reason to stay alive do you want to give a copy of God’s Word, so they can discover God’s love for them?

Each gift of $5 will be used to share the gospel with someone and give them a copy of God’s Word. We are putting together special Scriptures that will be used to share the gospel with Indigenous Canadians, and you will be part of that exciting journey of introducing Jesus to them.

The Need

Remote communities struggle with the basic necessities of clean water, affordable groceries, and good medical facilities. But they also have an uphill battle with education and a promising way to make a living. Alcohol and drugs cripple the very ones who are needed to lead the young. Violence and abuse are rampant in these desperate families, causing children to look for ways to escape their own painful realities.

It’s like so many things are stacked against them. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
