The Gideons is an international association currently organized in 187 countries. An international board of directors (Cabinet) elected by the membership holds responsibility for the Gideon work worldwide.

Canada has its own national association, with its own National Cabinet, composed of elected national officers and trustees from five areas across Canada. The Gideons International In Canada maintains a national headquarters in Guelph, Ontario. An executive director, administrative and field staff, along with office support staff, provide leadership, resources and support services.

The Gideon association is made up of members who pay an annual membership fee and who are organized into local chapters called camps.

The wives of the Gideons who have joined the Auxiliary are a department of the parent organization and assist the Gideons in carrying out their objectives.
